The Scriptures: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters of conduct and doctrine. (II Tim 3:16; I Thes 2:13; II Peter 1:21)
The Godhead: Our God is one, but manifested in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal (Phil 2:6). God the Father is greater than all, the sender of the Word (logos) and the Begetter (John 1:14; 14:28; 16:28). The Son is the Word made flesh; the One begotten; and has always existed with the Father (John 1:1, 14, 18). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).
Man, His Fall, and Redemption: Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." "There is none righteous, no not one." Jesus Christ, the Son of God was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom 3:10; 3:23; 5:14; and I John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man; separate from works and the law; and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; producing works acceptable to God (Eph 2:8).
Eternal Life and the New Birth: Man's first step forward salvation is godly sorrow which works repentance. The new birth is necessary to all mankind, and when experienced, produces eternal life (II Cor 7:10; I John 5:12; John 3:3-5).
Water Baptism: Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Matt 28:19; Rom 6:4; Col 2:12; Acts 8:36-39). The following recommendation regarding the water baptism formula is adopted to wit, "On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
Baptism in the Holy Spirit: The "Baptism in The Holy Spirit and Fire" is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is subsequent to the 'New Birth' (Luke 3:16-17). This experience may be accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4) as the Holy Spirit gives utterance (Matt 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2:4; 38-39; 19:1-7). But on some occasions, 'tongues' may follow and manifest sometime later. In some instances tongues may be received almost simultaneously with salvation and new birth in Christ. When a person is baptized with the 'Holy Spirit and Fire', there is always some immediate or following 'evidence', I have seen that any one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit might be initial evidence (I Cor 12:4-11; Heb 2:4; Mark 16:16-20). In any and all instances, one must be 'Born Again' (John 3:3-5) to be a candidate for receiving the 'Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire'. Therefore, we conclude from scripture, that salvation if a free gift to the lost (Eph 2:8). It is also our belief that it is necessary for one to be 'Baptized in the Holy Spirit and Fire' to be anointed as a 'true' witness and anointed for service and ministry (Acts 10:38; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Acts 4:31-33). Please reference my sermons, "Jesus Anointed for Ministry" (Sept 21, 2008) and "Anointed Deacons" (Oct 5, 2008). We also believe that all nine gifts of the Spirit are for the church (I Cor 12: 4-11) and for Spirit-filled believers and ministers today (Rom 12:6-8; Eph 4:7-12; I Cor 2:4; I Thes 1:5).
Preservation of the Saints: We are kept by the Lord (John 5:24; 10:28-29; 13:1b; 17:11-12,15; Eph 1:13-14; I Peter 1:5; Phil 1-6; Rom 5:1; 8:1; 8:30-31; I Thes 5:23). We are discipled by the Lord (Heb 12:6-8; I Cor 11:31-32; I Cor 5:5; I Tim 1:20). We also see in (Acts 2:38) that the 'Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire' is also a free gift to the believer.
Sanctification: The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the 'Doctrine of Sanctification' as a definite, yet progressive, work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return (Heb 12:14; I Thes 5:23; II Peter 3:18; II Cor 3:18; Phil 3:12-14; I Cor 1:30).
Divine Healing: Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the church today (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; I Peter 2:24; Matt 8:17; Isa 53:4-5).
Resurrection of the Just and the Return of Our Lord: The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "This same Jesus... will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into Heaven". His coming is imminent. When He comes, "...the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air..." (Acts 1:11; I Thes 4:16-17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to the earth as King Of Kings and Lord of Lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, and He shall reign a thousand years (Rev 20:6).
Hell and Eternal Retribution: The one who physically dies in their sins having rejected Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the 'Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms 'eternal' and 'everlasting' used in describing the duration of the punishment of the dammed in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God (Heb 9:27; Rev 19:20)
